Use the Update-Global Address List cmdlet to update the recipients included ina global address list (GAL).
For information about the parameter sets in the Syntax section below, see Exchange cmdlet syntax (https://technet.microsoft.com/library/bb123552.aspx).
If the update mechanism appears to be broken for you, it could be because of a corruption in your OAB or in your mail profile.
In that case, you can completely reset it by deleting the files making up the OAB or by recreating your mail profile.
To find the permissions required to run any cmdlet or parameter in your organization, see Find the permissions required to run any Exchange cmdlet (https://technet.microsoft.com/library/mt432940.aspx).
By default in Exchange Online, the Address List role isn't assigned to any role groups.
I changed the value to this setting: 1 = The Offline Address Book uses the Download Full Items download mode. I then deleted all of the files as per the article. Has anyone else experienced this issue, or have any idea why it would occur?I have an exchange 2010 environment, and clients running outlook 2007 with cached exchange mode turned on.An issue has been highlighted where several users are not in the global address list, its just two users in particular, who were created about 2 weeks ago, and they dont appear.Another way to make sure that you get a fresh copy of the OAB is by renaming the oab-files to when Outlook is closed. They are stored in the following location: which itself holds subfolders with named after Account GUIDs.
