Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk Hi littisimo, I know this is an old thread but I am taking a long shot as yours was the only explanation that made sense in my situation, really disappointed as I spent numerous hours trying to have sprint fix my issue. In short, I am trying to get my phone unlocked from sprint to move to GSM, paid all the bills on time, and the ETF's too.but you'll have to toggle it back whenever you use data.I had no coverage in an area their map showed it and the prl update fixed it instantly Weird..I had no coverage in an area their map showed it and the prl update fixed it instantly Shouldn't be an issue as the Moto G has decent if not great reception.Switching to 2G/EDGE might help your reception if HSPA or LTE is using a higher frequency..800 has a farther reach Well my phone actually could pick up 800mhz and they where rolling it out some here which could have actually been the reason why I needed it.But If I update the PRL by sending the ATD*228, it returns ACTIVATION: Success.

Is there a way I can boot into the room without flashing the phone, just to update the PRL?

In very rare cases did it actually add something for native coverage.

The usual fix was it reset the radio and caused it to acquire the signal again, possibly on a different channel.

"Update PRL" makes the same type of request to the OMADM, in this case though it sends your Preferred Roaming List.

This is basically a list of tower Ids and capabilities.
